Public spaces are being asked to accommodate more services—lighting, cameras, sensors, communications and charging—often in locations where space is limited. That has created demand for infrastructure that can combine functions in a single footprint rather than adding a series of single-purpose poles. Landscape Forms said its relaunched SHUFFLE system is intended to address that shift.

SHUFFLE is a modular smart-pole platform that consolidates lighting, Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and electric-vehicle charging into one vertical structure. The relaunch is aimed at municipalities, campuses and commercial developers seeking to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost.

The pole is built around stackable components that can be configured and updated as a site’s needs change. According to the company, the modular approach supports customization and future adaptability, while the integrated design aims to bring modern aesthetics and operational efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.

New modules and configuration tool

The relaunch adds options intended for plug-and-play simplicity. They include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules. Landscape Forms said the pole is designed to be easy to activate and install.

Landscape Forms has also introduced a new build feature on its website to simplify configuration. The company said clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose among a range of options within each category.

SHUFFLE is positioned for both specialized environments and general public spaces. Target settings include university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals. In those locations, the system is intended to provide an added measure of security and convenience for people gathering to work, travel, study and recreate, while helping site managers address a range of requirements through one platform.

Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder, said the relaunch was the solution site designers had been waiting for. She said SHUFFLE was designed to fit busy public spaces with what she described as best-in-class product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. Safety and connectivity, she added, are integrated without dominating the outdoor environment, making the system accessible and user-friendly.

Jordan Agustin, president of Lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE reflects the kind of technology-and-design integration the industry needs to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the new features and capabilities enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing Landscape Forms’ mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
