  • Mace Construct will keep its current name until the New Year before becoming Forco, the contractor has said. The rebrand follows its March separation from Mace Consult, which retained the Mace brand, and will accompany a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

Mace Construct will change its name to Forco after continuing to trade under its existing name until the New Year. The contractor described the new name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce.

The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses. Under that agreement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand. The contracting business will keep the Mace Construct name until the turn of the year, then operate as Forco.

Forco will be introduced alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030, the contractor said. Executive Chair Mark Reynolds said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping drive the industry forward. He said the new name reflects a commitment to being the UK's most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds also said the qualities that made Mace Construct one of the UK's most respected contractors would remain: its culture, values and people. Clients should expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last, he added.

The rebrand is presented as a change of name and brand rather than a change in client teams or delivery commitments. It also gives the contracting business a separate public identity from the Mace name retained by the consultancy.
